Collaborative Law
North Carolina is one of many states which recognizes the Collaborative Law process. Collaborative Law is a way for both parties to "trouble shoot and problem solves" rather than fight and win. This option is a form of dispute resolution where parties and their attorneys agree to work toward a resolution without litigation. One of the biggest differences with this process is that it recognizes that emotional issues exist that cannot be addressed by the legal system. A team of professionals will be assembled to help both parties understand and resolve their disputes.
Each party will sign contractual agreements that include
- Disclosure Documents
- Respect
- Insulating Children
- Sharing Experts
- Win-Win Solutions
- No Court Time
